Maidenhead United boss Alan Devonshire has entered the loan market to sign young Southend United centre-forward Emile Acquah on an initial one-month basis.

19-year-old Acquah broken into the Shrimpers squad at the end of last season after a successful loan spell with Isthmian Premier League outfit Harlow Town. The 6’ 3” striker netted his first goal for Sol Campbell’s side against League One leaders Ipswich Town in October.

Chief scout Lee Devonshire was delighted to get his man: “Emile is a powerful centre-forward who is 19 but physically looks a lot older.”
