Maidenhead United have made their seventh new summer signing with the capture of experienced centre-forward Jake Cassidy.

Welshman Cassidy has 8 Under-21 caps for his country, having started his career at Llandudno Junction prior to joining Airbus UK. His prolific form in the Welsh leagues attracted the attentions of Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers, who he joined aged just 17.

Cassidy enjoyed loan periods in the EFL whilst at Molineux with the likes of Tranmere Rovers, Notts County and Southend United. During his second spell with Tranmere, Cassidy was named the League One Player of the Month for September 2012.

Cassidy subsequently moved on to EFL League One side Oldham Athletic on a permanent basis in the summer of 2015 and has since played in the National League with Guiseley, Hartlepool United and Maidstone United.
