Maidenhead United have signed defender Seth Twumasi from Maidstone United.
28-year-old Twumasi started his career at Chelsea, working his way through the ranks to earn a professional contract with the Blues whilst representing England at Under-16, 17, 18 and 20 level. Born in Ghana, he is a versatile player who can play anywhere along the defensive line and in midfield.
He made his senior debut on loan at Dagenham & Redbridge before leaving Stamford Bridge for Peterborough United. He continued in the Football League with Northampton Town and Newport Country, joining the Stones in September 2016, just after their return to the top tier of non-league football.
Since then he has made 72 Vanarama National League appearances for the Kent club, including the Magpies’ first fixture at this level.
