Hartlepool United striker Jake Cassidy has rejoined Maidstone United on loan for the rest of the season.

Cassidy spent just over three months on loan at The Gallagher Stadium earlier this term but was recalled by Pools at the turn of the year and went on to score against The Stones in his first game back.

However, new boss Craig Hignett has now agreed for the front man to return to the Kent outfit after the two clubs finalised terms on a fresh loan deal, which will run until the start of May.

Cassidy, who turns 26 on Saturday, will now go straight in to contention to feature for Maidstone in their home game against AFC Fylde at the weekend.
