Maidstone United have signed left-back Noah Chesmain.
Twenty-one-year-old Chesmain joins after the expiration of his contract at League Two Colchester United.
A product of Millwall’s fruitful youth academy, Chesmain made one league appearance for the Lions before embarking on two loan spells in the National League with Welling United and Boreham Wood.
After leaving Millwall this time last year, he signed for Colchester, and spent time on loan at Hitchin Town and Hungerford Town last season. He then linked up with the Stones towards the end of the 2018-19 campaign, playing in a trial game with a view to earning a deal for the upcoming season.
Upon sealing the deal at the Gallagher Stadium on Monday afternoon, Chesmain said: “It feels wonderful to be here.
“I played in a trial match here towards the end of last season, and the management spoke to me after that and said they want players who are hungry and willing to do well with the club.
“I’m a left-back who likes to get up and down and create chances for the team and I feel like Maidstone provides the best opportunity for me going forward.”
