At the beginning of December the Ascot United management team of Jeff Lamb, Paul McGrotty and Derek Sweetman advised the club of their intention to step down.

The board reluctantly acceded bringing to an end to their time in charge of the first team.

Their last game in charge will be the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division home match against Royal Wootton Bassett Town this Saturday 7th January.

Under their leadership the team had its most successful period in the club’s history. Since Jeff and Paul took over in May 2011 the club has appeared in two FA Vase quarter finals, had three successive top four finishes in the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division, won The Hellenic League Challenge Cup Sponsored by Bluefin Sports Insurance in 2014, were runners up in 2015 and then winners of The Hellenic League Floodlit Cup Sponsored by Perpetua Press in 2016.

There have also been some fantastic FA Cup matches at the Racecourse and no one will ever forget the night in 2011 when we played Wembley in a televised match or the draw against Tonbridge Angels earlier this season.

A further announcement about the first team management will be made shortly.
