Chesterfield manager James Rowe has praised his side’s defensive resolve, following a further clean sheet.
The Spireites followed up their 1-0 win at Notts County with the same scoreline at home to Altrincham earlier this week.
It is a result that sees them climb to 13th in the National League, six points off the play-off places but with games in hand on everyone above them.
Rowe told the club’s website:
“Really pleasing to get two clean sheets coming back off the isolation periods. Again, we are not conceding many.
“It’s never been a penalty (in the Altrincham game). Their manager said it wasn’t a penalty.
“It was a great save from the penalty (by Grant Smith), though.”
