Ahead of Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup tie at home to Concord Rangers, Margate manager Jay Saunders has strengthened his ranks with the acquisitions of two new players.
Experienced midfielder Reece Prestedge joins on a permanent basis from Welling United, having previously played for East Thurrock and Hemel Hempstead.
He is no stranger to Saunders, who signed the central midfielder while managing Maidstone United, and is thrilled to be able to call upon his services in time for the weekend.
Saunders has also added some defensive cover with Emmanuel Fernandez joining The Gate on a short-term loan from Gillingham.
Scholar Fernandez had impressed in the development squad this season and joins the on an initial one-month loan.
