Margate left-back Tom Wynter has suffered a snapped Achilles.

The 28-year-old, who joined the club from Dartford last May, sustained the injury during the weekend’s 0-0 draw at Bognor Regis Town.

The club said the following via their Twitter account:

The club is extremely disappointed to confirm the extent of the injury sustained by Tom Wynter yesterday afternoon.

As suspected, Tom has snapped his Achilles and will he out for the rest of the season. Due to the severity of the injury and impact to Tom’s life away from football, the club will be announcing fundraising plans to support Tom and his family over the next few days.
