Margate have launched an appeal for new investment, after admitting that they might not survive into Spring 2017.

After a recent break-in, which has cost the Kent club thousands of pounds, new chairman Alistair Bayliss is holding out for a saviour to come forward and help to rectify financial problems at the club stretching back to the reign of ex-chairman Bob Laslett.

Whilst fans have returned to the club, following Laslett’s turbulent reign as club chairman, the club still urgently needs funds and also impetus to take it forward, and hopes that 2017 will be a turning point for the better after too many false dawns and broken promises.
