Margate have signed former Ipswich Town winger Alex Henshall.
The 22-year-old started his career with home-town club Swindon Town, where he progressed to be named on the first-team subs bench a couple of times.
Capped by England at under-16 and under-17 level, he moved to Manchester City in the summer of 2010 at the age of 16 for an undisclosed fee.
Whilst on City`s books, Hensall had loan spells with Chesterfield, for whom he made his League bow, Bristol Rovers and Ipswich, who signed him on a permanent basis in June 2014.
He made one Capital One Cup start and four Championship sub appearances after joining the Tractor Boys on a two-year deal.
He had a spell on loan at Blackpool during the 2014/15 season but left Portman Road in February 2016 and a month later signed for Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock, for whom he made a couple of first-team appearances.
However, in June he was given a six-month driving ban after he was caught speeding in Ipswich.
