Gateshead have completed the loan signing of Grimsby Town left back Dan Jones.
Jones is yet to feature for the Mariners this season, following a summer move from Hartlepool United.
After signing his first professional contract for Hartlepool in 2013, Jones made thirty seven appearances over three seasons.
However, he was released by Pools in May, signing a one-year contract with Grimsby Town a month later.
Heed full backs James Bolton and George Smith are currently nursing injuries, meaning that manager Neil Aspin has been looking for a short-term replacement to boost his defensive options.
A one-month loan deal for former Sunderland academy player Jones has now been completed and he will go straight into the Gateshead squad for their Vanarama National League home fixture against Dover Athletic on Saturday.
Gateshead currently sit in eleventh position in the National League table and ended a four match run without a win on Tuesday, with an impressive 1-0 victory at Tranmere Rovers.
