Full-back Mark Ross has rejoined Chorley for the 2019/20 Vanarama National League campaign after spending the whole of pre-season training with Jamie Vermiglio’s squad.
No stranger to Victory Park, having spent a number of seasons in black and white previously, the 30-year-old left for Stockport County in 2016 before playing the last two years at Bradford (Park Avenue).
He said: “I’m over the moon to be back. Pre-season has been great and we’ve competed well against some very good sides so far, which I think shows we more than capable of competing in the National League.
“I want to help the club keep moving forward in any way I can and being able to wear a Chorley shirt again means an awful lot to me. I must thank the gaffer and coaching staff, who’ve been brilliant so far, and all the players for making me welcome.
“I know firsthand that Chorley is built on the closeness of the playing squad and it’s great to see that hasn’t changed.”
Jamie Vermiglio said: “We’re really happy to welcome Rossy back to Victory Park after spending all of pre-season with us. He has a lot of experience, he’s fit, strong, versatile and consistently plays 40-plus games a season.
“He’ll also add competition for places along the backline, along with a great attitude and he knows what the club is all about.”
