Needham Market`s teen star Max Booth is taking a break from the Ryman League’s top flight to trial with Championship outfit Ipswich Town.
The 17-year-old graduate of the Marketmen academy was on trial at the Championship outfit this week after earning a regular berth in Mark Morsley’s first-team squad this season.
Having worked with the midfielder since arriving in the summer, assistant manager Richard Wilkins told buryfreepress.co.uk on Friday that he believes Booth has the skill set to make a real impression.
He said: “He has got a lot of good attributes which will hold him in good stead. The one major asset he has is pace, which is a big thing to possess. Max certainly has all the credentials to go far, be it as a professional or higher up the Non-League pyramid.”
