Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club Matlock Town have boosted their squad with three new additions.
The Gladiators have completed the signing of twenty four year old defender Alex Pursehouse from Bradford Park Avenue.
Pursehouse began his career with Tranmere Rovers youth side before making the move north to Scottish side Kilmarnock making his debut against Celtic.
He would make nine appearances for Killie between 2011 and 2013 and would then go on to join Brechin City until the end of the season. After making twelve appearances, Pursehouse was amongst the players to be released.
After leaving Brechin City in 2014, he returned to England to join Worksop Town and made a big impression earning himself a move to Bradford Park Avenue in February 2015.
In the 2015/2016 season while at BPA, Pursehouse would have a short loan spell with Sheffield FC to regain fitness following injury making his mark with four man of the match appearances in eleven games.
The second new Town addition was Gresley FC’s nineteen year old forward Ryan King.
King began his career with Burton Albion before joining Gresley FC in 2014 where he would make the step up from the youth team to the reserve team and then to the first team and is a youngster described by his former bosses as a hot prospect for the future.
Town also announced the signing of twenty one year old right back Liam Marsden.
He began his youth career with the Gladiators, before making the move to Mansfield Town, where he would progress through their youth ranks to the Stags U21 side.
He went on to make loan moves to Guiseley AFC, Brackley Town and Mickleover Sports.
