Dunstable Town have appointed Tony McCool as first team manager.

The committee are of the opinion that he has the best interests of the club at heart and is also committed to working within the tight financial constraints in a club now entirely run by its supporters.

McCool has enjoyed several contacts with League and non-league clubs and players and brings expertise and experience to the position. He is known for his coaching as well as his managerial skills.

Interim chairman, Alex Alexandrou wants to record his sincere gratitude to all the volunteers and supporters who have rallied to save the club and take it forward.

Following the appointment Alexandrou said ‘Tony brings enthusiasm as well as experience to the club and relishes the challenge that he will face in the Southern Premier Division – we are delighted with the appointment.’
