Former Aldershot Town defender Sean McGinty has agreed terms on a contract to join Torquay United.
Sean, 22, started his career at Manchester United before moving to Sheffield United,
Rochdale, and then Aldershot Town. He made numerous appearances for the Shots last season and can play at centre-back or left-back.
Player-manager Kevin Nicholson was keen to sign up the promising youngster.
“Sean has a decent pedigree and is someone I am eager to work with” said player-manager Kevin Nicholson.
“He is another player we have signed that can use this club as a springboard to bigger and better things, but there is work to be done before that happens. If he continues to develop then those things might be possible for him, but for now this is a good place for him to be.
“The addition if Sean keeps the squad building moving in the right direction. I am determined to keep adding players that have the right mentality.”
McGinty joins Dan Sparkes, Brendan Moore, Brett Williams, Damon Lathrope, Aman Verma, Nathan Blissett, Angus MacDonald, Luke Young, Ben Gerring, Sam Chaney, and Will Hancox in committing to the club after contract talks
