Micky Mellon is looking forward to Bank Holiday Monday’s visit to Nethermoor Park as Tranmere Rovers take on Guiseley in the National League.

Rovers were held to a 2-2 draw against Aldershot Town on Good Friday and the manager says that his squad need to keep looking forward.

He said: “We’ll dust ourselves down and get going again, look over what we need to see from Friday’s game and move on.

“We’ll go to Guiseley now and try and get a result because we want to win every game we’re involved in at this Club.”

The manager says he needs to manage his squad with a number of players returning from long-term injury absences.

James Wallace and Lois Maynard have featured in the past couple of games after lay-offs and Mellon says he needs to keep everyone fresh and sharp for the important final few matches of the season.

He added: “We’ve had more than our fair share of injuries so we need as many players as we can as match fit as possible and also as fresh as possible between now and the end of the season.”
