Gateshead have announced that midfielders Gus Mafuta and Paddy McLaughlin have both signed new deals at the International Stadium.
Mafuta, 20, has agreed a one-year contract, with 25-year-old McLaughlin committing his future to the club until the end of the 2017/18 campaign.
A former Colchester United trainee, Mafuta captained Bristol City’s under-21 side during the 2013/14 campaign before being released by the Robins last summer.
He joined the Heed on a short-term deal in September, and extended his stay until the end of the season after impressing new manager Neil Aspin.
McLaughlin, meanwhile, linked up with Gateshead following his release by league rivals Grimsby Town a year ago.
A former Northern Irish under-21 international, McLaughlin struck four times in 41 appearances in his maiden season on Tyneside.
