Kent Online say that midfielder Stuart Lewis has played his last game for Dover.
Lewis arrived at Crabble on a two-year deal after leaving Maidstone in the autumn and has been a key figure in Dover’s successful battle against relegation.
The 31-year-old opened the scoring in Saturday’s 3-0 home National League win over Sutton United but afterwards boss Andy Hessenthaler revealed that the former Barnet man had already revealed his intention to leave.
Hessenthaler said: “He came to see me on Thursday, he’s still got a year left on his contract but unfortunately I just don’t think he can commit to the full-time training any more and the travelling.”
