South Shields midfielder Arron Thompson is to leave the club.
The 20-year-old is a former Mariners academy player.
He leaves Shields after playing 19 times for the first team in total.
Manager Graham Fenton told the club’s website: “It’s really sad that it has come to an end with Arron Thompson.
“He has been an absolute pleasure to work with and has represented the club unbelievably well during his time with the academy and the first team.
“I’m sure he will go on to do well because of his attitude, application and ability.”
