Midfielder Nick Thompson has returned to Tadcaster Albion following a spell at NCEL Division One side Selby Town.

The former Captain returns to the Brewers in time for the busy schedule which will see the club play twice a week for the rest of the season.

With certain injuries arising over the past week, the squad needs to be as strong as possible with twelve big games to go.

Thompson played every game whilst at Selby Town which accumulated in five wins, two draws and three losses.

Thompson scored one goal whilst at the Robins and it proved to be a pivotal one, scoring the winner in a 1-0 victory over Eccleshill United.

Thompson is feeling positive after gaining some much needed pitch time following a nasty injury picked up during pre-season, the midfielder stated: “I’m looking forward to getting back involved with Taddy.”

“I got some much needed minutes in the bag at Selby Town so hopefully I can contribute in some form for the rest of the season.”
