Sam Minihan has decided to move on from Worcester City and not accept the offer made to him by the club for the 2016/17 season.

Minihan, who has now graduated from Loughborough University, is moving back home to Rochdale and this is a major reason for his decision.WORCESTER CITY FC

Manager Carl Heeley said: “There has been an offer on the table for Sam since the end of the campaign and I had agreed a level of flexibility with him to try and mitigate the logistical challenges.

“Although he really wanted to stay it was not practical to do so and he has advised me that he is going to accept an offer from a club nearer to his north-west base.

“On behalf of the club I would like to thank Sam and wish him the best of luck in his future career.

“Additionally, there are a number of potential new recruits that offers have been made to and we are currently awaiting their decisions”.
