Nuneaton Town boss, Tommy Wright, has described Saturday’s Buildbase FA Trophy third round clash with York City as ‘the biggest game of the season’.
A place in the last eight of the competition is up for grabs as we lock horns with the Vanarama National League strugglers.
The Buildbase FA Trophy has seen Boro score an impressive 14 goals in our three ties so far – including a 6-1 rout of Guiseley in the previous round.
“This is a big game for us, our biggest of the season,” said Wright. “With an appearance at Wembley the prize, this is a competition that we want to do well in.
“We want to really see the fans turn out and get behind us. Admission prices have been reduced and it would be great to see a big crowd here to create a special atmosphere that will inspire the players.
“York City are a big club and they’ve started to turn a corner with their recent results. They are from the League above, but in Cup ties anything can happen – you only have to look at last weekend’s FA Cup results to see that!
“The pressure is all on them; we’ll go out there with nothing to lose and determined to give it everything that we’ve got.
“The lads are determined to turn things around after a couple of defeats and they are looking forward to this game.”
