York City have today completed the signing of forward Robbie McDaid.
The 20-year-old has signed a deal until the end of the season with the Minstermen.
The Northern Ireland Under-21 international began his career with Irish League side Glenavon where his eye-catching displays for the Lurgan Blues prompted Championship side Leeds United to snapped up the then 17-year-old on a two-year deal in 2014.
After progressing through United’s Under-18s squad and into their Under-23s side, McDaid was allowed to join National League side Lincoln City on loan in January of this year.
During his time at Sincil Bank, the 5ft 11in striker netted four goals for the Imps from just three starts and 13 substitute appearances before his release from Elland Road at the end the campaign.
