Mark Molesley admitted it felt like a big win as his Weymouth side claimed a 2-1 win away at Walton Casuals in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier South, the Dorset Echo report.

Goals from Ben Thomson and Brandon Goodship secured the victory that ended their three-game winless run in the league.

The triumph also put the Terras back up to second in the table, and allowed Weymouth to take advantage of league rivals Met Police and Salisbury playing out a 2-2 draw.

When asked if it felt like a big win Molesley replied: “Yeah it does, it has obviously been a difficult week, a tough week, a gruelling week.

“Three games away on the spin. Yeah we needed to keep pace, we needed to get the win which added a little bit more pressure because results have not gone quite as well as we would have liked during the week.

“It was a good response from the boys.”
