Kieffer Moore has returned to parent club Forest Green Rovers after his loan spell at Torquay United ended.
His goalscoring appearance against Dagenham and Redbridge will be his last appearance of the loan spell.
Speaking to the Gulls offficial website Player-manager Kevin Nicholson explained why he understands why Forest Green Rovers manager Mark Cooper wants him back at the New Lawn.
“Obviously we would’ve loved to keep him but after such a successful time with us, FGR want him back to play for them and I certainly don’t blame them,” said Kevin.
“I think that this was a loan that worked for all parties, us, Forest Green Rovers and Kieffer. He has been excellent both in games and training, and helped us raise our levels.
“It’s now up to our lads to use the momentum we have picked up to keep on improving each training session and each game, and constantly striving to raise our levels.
“I hope to go back to FGR in January and ask the question again when they know what areas they are looking to strengthen and I know more about our situation with ownership, what the new owners plans and aspirations are.
“For now I would like to thank Mark Cooper for letting us have Kieffer. I’d like to thank Kieffer himself for becoming a Gull for a month rather than just a loan player looking out for his own interests. He’s been an excellent teammate and we hope to have him back in the future.”
