Solihull Moors have completed the signing of exciting forward Pearson Mwanyongo.
The 24-year-old joins from Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South side Gresley FC where he has proven to be a prolific goalscorer from wide midfield since joining in the summer.
Mwanyongo comes straight into contention for the New Year’s Day trip to Chester FC.
The signing of Mwanyongo comes as a real coup for Solihull because, as manager Liam McDonald explains, he was attracting plenty of interest elsewhere.
“Pearson has recently been on a week’s trial at Grimsby Town and impressed,” said the Moors’ boss. “He was due to go back to them but following a chat with us, he’s decided to sign a contract at Solihull. We’re absolutely delighted as he was attracting attention from plenty of league and non-league clubs.
“He’s quick and skilful with loads of ability and he’ll be a massive asset for us.”
Mwanyongo previously played for Leicester Nirvana, Histon, St Neots Town, Oadby Town and Desborough Town.
