There will be further AFC Wimbledon prospects heading out on loan to non-league if the current campaign continues.

That was confirmed by Mark Robinson, who has now been named the club’s new head coach following a spell in interim charge.

Robinson, who has also been serving as the Dons’ loans manager, told the club’s website following Archie Procter and Jack Currie’s move to Maidstone United:

“There are lots of good footballers, but that talent they possess is rarer. The COVID-19 crisis has restricted their game-time on loan, so this opportunity will further accelerate their development.

“I would like to thank Michael Hamilton for being proactive in sorting out their loans while I’ve been interim manager. There will be more players going out on loan if the National Leagues continue.”
