Attacking midfielder Dean Morgan has left Welling United and joined league rivals Bishop`s Stortford.

The 33-year-old can play as a striker or on the wing, and has more than 250 Football League appearances and over 40 goals to his name.

After making seventy-one appearances for Colchester United, Morgan went on to play for Reading, Luton Town, MK Done, Chesterfield (where he won the League 2 title) and Wycombe Wanderers as well as having loan spells at Southend United, Crewe Alexander, Leyton Orient, Aldershot Town, Oxford United and Crawley Town.

His most recent spell in the Football League came earlier in 2016 when he made nine appearances or Newport County, netting once, before a brief stint in Iceland and a spell at Welling.

In May 2014, he was called up by Montserrat to face US Virgin Islands and Bonaire in the preliminary round of the 2014 Caribbean Cup qualification phase.

Morgan goes straight into the Blues’ squad for tomorrow’s game at Truro City.
