Striker Amari Morgan-Smith is relishing the chance at replicating his match-winning start to the season at former club Kidderminster Harriers tonight, say The Shropshire Star.
The 29-year-old hitman was on hand to give Gavin Cowan’s men the perfect National League North opener with his second-half winner against Southport on Saturday.
And the February signing from York City quickly turned his attention to tonight’s clash at local rivals Kidderminster, who he played for in the 2013/14 campaign.
Morgan-Smith is likely to continue alongside Dan Udoh in Cowan’s 4-4-2 system at Aggborough tonight, keeping another former Harriers frontman, Andre Brown, on the bench.
On tonight’s trip to Kidderminster with the Bucks, he said: “I like to play at that ground. It’s one ground I always try to do well at, it’s one that sticks out when the fixtures come out.
“I scored there last season for York so hopefully I can do that again this season.
“More importantly, it’s about getting points on the board at this early stage of the season.
“I think last year we had a bit of a dip at the start so we’re looking to get as many points on the board as possible.”
