Morpeth Town have confirmed the signing of Hartlepool United midfielder Liam Noble.
The 28-year-old has agreed a deal until 2024 and he joins the Highwaymen having been Pools’ top scorer last season with 13 goals. Noble joined Pools last summer from Notts County, scoring 16 in 56 games for the club in total.
The drop-down of two divisions has come as a surprise to some, but Noble told Morpeth’s website: “They are moving in the right direction.
“I think I can contribute a lot to the team and the squad. Hopefully, with me only being 28, in my prime, I can really push this club forward.”
Hartlepool boss Craig Hignett told the club’s website: “Liam was made an offer and it was something he told us he would like to explore.
“It works for him and his family, and offers him more stability, so we let him discuss the move with them to see whether he wanted to pursue it. I would like to thank Liam for all his efforts during his time with the club and hope things work out well for him at Morpeth.”
