Morpeth Town have confirmed that all footballing activity at the club will be on hold for the next fortnight.
It follows a positive COVID-19 test from one of the club’s players.
The Northern Premier Division club have said: “We have followed guidelines from Public Health England and the Pitching In Northern Premier League before reaching this decision, as we take our responsibility for the safety of our players and officials extremely seriously.
“The player in question informed the club on Monday morning of the positive outcome, meaning that everyone on the team bus travelling to and from Southport must self-isolate.
“Our home clashes with FC United of Manchester and Warrington Town, as well as our trip to Buxton, will now be postponed, with no new dates set as yet.”
