Nantwich Town have confirmed the signing of Newcastle Town forward Jordan Cole on a two-month loan with a view to signing permanently.

The 23-year-old joins the Dabbers from the Evo-Stik Division One South side and has scored nine goals for them so far this season, including four in a 6-1 thrashing of Spalding United.

Cole has been with Castle since he was a youngster and played a huge part in the team’s run to the 2014/15 play-offs scoring 25 league goals and being voted in the league’s team of the year.

The striker began his career as a youngster at Port Vale before progressing through the ranks at Castle to the first team.
