Ahead of Nantwich Town’s huge play-off semi-final with arch-rivals Warrington Town, midfielder Matt Bell has urged his teammates that the Dabbers must be ‘physically and mentally ready’ as the biggest ninety minutes of the season looms.
Bell has played an instrumental role in Nantwich’s success this season, marshalling the midfield throughout the campaign, and the experience that the twenty-seven-year-old holds has been essential to helping a young Dabbers squad. He believes that the experience in the dressing room will help the Dabbers continue their regular-season good fortunes.
“There is a lot of experience in our dressing room going into Tuesday night.
“Throughout the year this experience has enabled us to finish in the position that we have, so we will continue in the same manner as we have all season in preparation for the semi-final [at Warrington].”
While an experienced head in the dressing room in terms of age, Bell has also been involved in four play-off campaigns and believes it will be crucial for the men in green to perform to the standards they are capable of.
“This will be the fourth time that I have been involved in play-off games so I have a lot of experience for these types of games.
“It comes down to small margins and it is imperative that everyone is performing to the standards that have been set throughout the season.
“No game is the same so as a team we have to prepare in correct way and be both physically and mentally ready.”
