Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling is taking on 15 marathons in 15 days as he strives to help the fight against Prostate Cancer.

And National League CEO Michael Tattersall is getting in on the action, joining Jeff on his march against Prostate Cancer on day three, Sunday 4th June, when they will walk from Swindon Town to Forest Green Rovers.

Alongside the National League’s CEO will be Vanarama’s Brand Director, Steve Mark. The two National League representatives will march with Stelling, and some greats of the game such as Matt Le Tissier, on the 22-mile walk between the two grounds.

Teaming up with the leading men’s health organisation, long-standing Soccer Saturday host Stelling is aiming to raise £500,000 on his March for Men.

Starting in Devon on Friday 2nd June, Jeff’s March for Men will see the Sky Sports stalwart walk 400 miles from the South West to the North East with the symmetrical stroll starting at St James Park, home of the Exeter City, and ending at the Newcastle United’s St James’ Park a fortnight later.

Stelling will stop off 42 football clubs in total, including a number of National League sides. The final day on Friday 16th June kicks-off at the Emirates Riverside, home of Durham County Cricket club.

Stelling said: “I’m grateful to those who will come out to support me on my March for Men as we raise vital awareness and funds for Prostate Cancer UK.

“Prostate Cancer kills one man every hour in the UK, and I just decided I couldn’t sit on my backside and do nothing about it. I can put one foot in front of the next and hopefully raise awareness and raise funds to help men beat this diabolical disease.

“This year’s route gives us an opportunity to go to parts of the country that we’ve not been to before and to spread the word to people who maybe didn’t hear that message as loudly last time round.”

The mega event is part of Prostate Cancer UK’s wider walking programme, `March for Men`, which includes a trio of Local Walks across Father’s Day weekend, in London on 17th June and Leeds and Glasgow 24 hours later. The charity will also be encouraging supporters to hold their own marches to try and raise £1 million through walking in 2017.
