Tom Prodomo says Weymouth are not in the sixth tier to make up the numbers, as he looks ahead to the Terras’ return to the National League South.

The Terras secured promotion at their second attempt since Mark Molesley took over as Weymouth boss, but assistant-manager Prodomo does not see the sixth tier as “the final point”.

Prodomo, speaking about the promotion, told Echosport: “Obviously the first feeling is immense excitement, I think the whole club is looking forward to the challenges that the National League South is going to bring.

“It is a step the club has been wanting to make for a long time.

“At this early stage we are not there to make up the numbers, the objective is to move the club forward and the first stage of that was to reach the National League South. We certainly don’t see it as being the final point or our biggest achievement so (there is) a lot more hard work to come.”
