Nelson have completed the signing of former Burnley and Bradford City player Dean Overson.

The 22 year old joins The Admirals as Manager Paul Fildes continues to strengthen the first team squad at Little Wembley.




Son of former Clarets star Vince Overson, Dean signed as a youth scholar at Burnley FC in 2009 before joining Bradford City in 2011 on a 2 year deal.

Since then Overson has featured for clubs such as Padiham FC and Barrow however with injuries having kept him out of action in recent times, the talented defender is excited about the chance to join Paul Fildes team, saying

“I’m really happy to sign for Nelson FC. I’m looking forward to getting back fit after being injured for such a long time and looking forward to enjoying my football again. There’s great ambition at the club and I look forward to being a part of that as things go forward.”
