Maidstone loanee Jack Doyle is set to return to Blackburn for a scan, Kent Online report.
The left-back rolled his ankle at training on Friday and it’s feared there may be a fracture.
His loan runs out in January and United are hoping they haven’t seen the last of the popular Scouser.
Stones boss Harry Wheeler said: “There’s a possible fracture, so it could be a bad one.
“He’s just going to go back to Blackburn to see what the damage is. He’s going to have a scan there Monday, I think, and from there we’ll have to make a decision.”
