Central defender Joe Wilkinson has joined Bradford Park Avenue on loan until the end of the season
The 20-year-old moves from Sky Bet Championship side Huddersfield Town, having been told his contract will the them will not be renewed at the end of the season.
He has made one senior appearance for the Terriers, featuring against Blackburn Rovers in the last game of the 2014/15 campaign.
Wilkinson, who can also operate as a right-back, also spent time on loan at Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division side Hyde United this season, making two appearances in October.
He has featured predominantly for Town’s under-21 team this season, regularly captaining the side and making 15 appearances this term, scoring twice.
New boss Darren Edmondson has also signed former Bolton Wanderers midfielder Luke Woodland, who has won three caps for the Philippines national team.
Woodland (pictured) did not make a first-team appearance for Bolton but spent time on loan with Oldham Athletic last term.
Although born in Abu Dhabi, he represented England at the under-16, under-17 and under-18 levels before switching his allegiances to the Philippines in the summer.
His case went before the FIFA Players’ Status Committee and required clearances from the English, Scottish, Northern Irish, and Welsh football associations.
He joined National League side Chester FC last October.
Also joining Avenue as goalkeeper cover is 23-year-old Ryan Jones, formerly with Rochdale, Northwich Victoria, Stockport County and USA side Richmond Kickers and more recently North West Counties League side AFC Liverpool.
