The Basildon Standard say that Ross Lafayette is loving life at Billericay Town.
Lafayette joined the National League South table-toppers from Sutton United last month.
And Lafayette, who travels to training and matches with team-mates Jake Howells and Adam Cunnington from his Rickmansworth base, is eager to help Billericay win back-to-back promotions.
“I’m absolutely loving it at the club, to be honest,” said the striker. “It’s been refreshing and I feel rejuvenated because I think I needed a change of scenery.
“I needed to go somewhere that I was wanted and that helps a lot as a player. The boys have been awesome and they welcomed me straightaway.
“It obviously helps coming into a winning side as well. I was fortunate to come into a team that is fighting at the top of the league and we need to keep the momentum we have at the moment because we know that no-one wins the league now.”
