Bishop`s Stortford`s new joint bosses Mark Hawkes and Steve Smith have made Jamie Slabber and Harry Hickford their first signings.
Slabber signs on loan from league rivals Welling United.
The 31-year-old started his career as a junior at Spurs, where he made one appearance in the Premier League.
He was loaned out twice whilst at Spurs, to Danish club AB in 2004 and to Swindon Town the following year.
He then dropped signed a short-term contract with Aldershot Town in April 2005.
The following season he moved to Grays Athletic, before joining Oxford United on loan in November 2006.
Slabber moved to Stevenage Borough in January 2007, staying for five months before joining Havant & Waterlooville the following season.
He returned to Grays in November 2008 and then signed for then-Conference South club Woking in December 2009.
He moved to Eastleigh in July 2010, before moving onto Chelmsford City in March 2012.
Following a successful spell at Melbourne Park, Slabber joined Sutton United, where he scored 14 goals in thirty-one appearances during the 2013/14 season. This included two goals against Bromley, the club for which he and team-mate Damian Scannell would sign for at the end of the season.
He linked up with a former manager Mark Goldberg when he signed for Welling in May 2016.
Hickford joins from National League side Forest Green Rovers.
A versatile defender who can also do a job in midfield, Hickford became a Forest Green player in June 2016 having left MK Dons.
A brief loan spell at Torquay United last season saw him gain experience of playing at fifth tier level, as he played for the Gulls in games against Lincoln City and Woking.
He also had a temporary stint in League Two last year with Dagenham & Redbridge, along with loan spells at Chelmsford City and Hemel Hempstead Town.
In his time at Hemel Hempstead he was part of a team that narrowly missed out on a place in the National League South play-offs.
Hickford has just finished a loan spell with Stortford`s league rivals Bath City.
