Boreham Wood have announced that Angelo Balanta has put pen to paper on one-year contract extension, with the option of a second.

Attacking midfielder Balanta joined the Wood in 2016 and his technique and ability to manipulate the ball, have been a key component in Wood’s attacking options ever since. The 27-year-old has already found the net nine times so far this season, and the club are delighted to tie him down for a further two years.

On securing the new deal, Balanta commented: “I am delighted; discussions have been on-going for a couple of weeks and we have managed to get it over the line now. I have been here for the last two years and the club is going in the right direction, I just want to continue to be a part of that.

“We are in a good position so far, going into the last nine games of the season, and hopefully we can secure a spot in the play-offs, maybe even top one, or two.

“As I said, it is a club on the up and I just want to be part of it.”
