Clitheroe player-boss David Lynch has signed a new three-and-a-half-year contract.

Lynch took over at the Northern Premier League North West Division club last May.

The former Southport skipper recently registered as a player with Marine to be part of their matchday squad for the FA Cup tie against Tottenham Hotspur, though he did not appear in the game.

His Clitheroe side had performed well in the league prior to the season grinding to a halt.

The Blues are 4th in the table, though have only played nine games.
