Ebbsfleet manager Garry Hill has underlined the need to reduce his playing squad, Kent Online say.
Three more members of the Fleet’s coaching staff left the club last week, taking the total number of departures to six.
Daryl McMahon, Steve Gritt, David Jupp, Aaron McLean, Stacy Long and Michael Jordan have all gone and players are set to follow.
Hill said: “There’s a very good squad here but we might be a touch high on numbers at the moment.
“That’s no disrespect to any players but if you ask Garry Hill what he would like to be working with if he had control of what he was doing, he wants 18 bits of quality more than 22 bits of quantity. That’s where I am.
“It is a big squad, we are aware that some staff members have gone this week and you have that with football players.
“It’s not personal; we have got to make sure there’s a structure in place going forward, on and off the football field, for the benefit and the balance, everywhere, for Ebbsfleet United Football Club.”
