Ebou Adams believes he could win the National League with Ebbsfleet United next season.
The 22-year-old midfielder has signed for Fleet after two-and-a-half years with Norwich City.
Adams, who came through Dartford’s academy, finished 2017-18 on loan at Leyton Orient and had the chance to move there permanently but chose instead to return to Kent after agreeing terms with Daryl McMahon.
Fleet reached the play-off semi-finals after finishing sixth in their first season back in the division.
Asked what his expectations were for the new campaign, Adams said: “Hopefully the same and probably even one step further, actually going for the title.
“That helps me towards my ambition of playing in the Football League and they have the same ambition. It works both ways.
“I liked the way Ebbsfleet played last year, how they progressed and got themselves into the play-offs. They did really well.
“What they did last season was massive. Maybe if they hadn’t gone to extra time twice (in the play-offs), it wouldn’t have hit them as much (in the semi-final at Tranmere) but it’s a young team and a club on the up.”
