Matt Rhead is ‘100 per cent certain’ that he will enjoy success with Billericay Town.
The striker completed his move to the Steel Team Stadium from Lincoln City last week.
And, having sealed the switch for an undisclosed fee, Rhead cannot wait for the new National League South season to get underway.
“You can see from the outside that it’s a club on the up and people all over the country are talking about Billericay,” said the 35-year-old, who made his Town debut in the 2-1 pre-season friendly defeat to Boreham Wood.
“The owner (Glenn Tamplin) and manager (Harry Wheeler) have sold the club to me and I’m looking forward to getting started.
“It was only on Tuesday or Wednesday that it came out that Lincoln were looking to offload me.
“Billericay were the club that showed the most interest in me and backed up what they were saying.”
