Morpeth Town’s Michael McKeown has joined Hebburn Town on a permanent transfer after making ten appearances for the Highwaymen, all from the bench.

He started Morpeth’s recent Integro Cup clash with Marske United, which was abandoned before half-time.

“I’ve loved every minute of my time at Morpeth; the only thing missing was the game time,” said McKeown after news broke of his departure.

“In the end that is what dictated my move. I can’t thank Ken (Beattie, the chairman) and the staff enough and I hope the club do well in the future.”
