Notts County’s owners believe that new head coach Ian Burchnall will prove a popular appointment at the National League club.
The former Viking and Östersund boss was confirmed today as the successor to Neal Ardley.
He will be assisted at Notts by former Scotland and Rangers defender Maurice Ross.
As part of the announcement, owners Alexander and Christoffer Reedtz said:
“We think supporters will share our appreciation of Ian’s passion for coaching and his willingness to take risks and meet difficult challenges head-on, as he did during his time in Scandinavia, and we’re very excited to see him lead the team for the first time in Saturday’s Buildbase FA Trophy semi-final against AFC Hornchurch.”
