Danny Newton has put pen-to-paper on a new deal to keep him at Tamworth Football for the 2016/17 season.

Newton joins James Belshaw, Ellis Deeney, Andy Burns, and Stephen Tomassen, who have already signed on for next season.

Despite missing several games due to injury during the first half of the season, Newton has delivered some impressive performances, most notably, becoming the first Lambs player since Mark Hallam in 1999 to hit four goals in a single game away at Stalybridge Celtic in January.

Talks are ongoing with several other members of the current squad, and the club have now also identified their top transfer targets from other clubs.
